Liquidation stock is sold in lot sizes from a single box up to a full freight vehicle. Choosing the right size is mostly about your channel, your storage and your cash flow.
Single boxes and small lots
Lowest commitment. Good for testing a category or a new channel before you scale. The per-unit cost is higher than a pallet, but so is your flexibility.
Pallets
The workhorse lot for most resellers. Enough volume to make a market stall or an eBay run worthwhile, without the storage and cash demands of a truckload. Tail-lift delivery to ground level means you do not need a forklift.
Truckloads
The lowest per-unit cost, and the format for bin stores and high-volume operators pricing a whole floor to a weekly ticket. A truckload is a full freight vehicle of stock, not one big pallet, and unloading should be agreed in advance. Explore truckload lots once your sell-through is proven.
How to decide
- Space: can you store and sort it before it ages?
- Cash flow: can you fund it and wait for sell-through?
- Channel: can your sales channel absorb the volume at a sensible pace?
Start at the size you can clear comfortably, then scale on proven averages. Browse lots by size and category.
